Marlin

Marlin is a large and muscular male Chesapeake Bay Retriever. He was born 06/03/2007. I purchased Marlin in Setpember 2008, then following a family emergency, a good friend kept Marlin for me for another year.

We got a late start but have had a lot of fun training for and competing in American Kennel Club Hunt Tests and Field Trials. Marlin passed 4 of 4 Junior Hunter tests, 4 of 4 Senior Hunter tests, and 5 of 7 Master Hunter tests. (I have to take most of the blame with handler errors in the two failures!) In the spring of 2012 marlin received a 4th place and reserve JAM in Qualifying stakes, and a JAM in his first all breed amateur stake. Marlin received an Open Jam and Amateur Reserve Jam at the ACC Field Trial specialty in 2012.
