Player

Player is a compact and powerful male Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Born 04/02/2007, he spent his first four years with breeder Linda Harger of Fireweed Chesapeakes in Meridian, ID. I purchased Player in 2011 and have had a great time with him. His happy disposition has brightened my home and heart, and his drive and determination have been an inspiration.

While with Linda, Player had success in Derby and Qualifying stakes in AKC Field Trials, and received a Judges Award of Merit in the Amateur stake the the American Chesapeake Club National Field Trial Specialty in Oregon in 2010.

In the Spring of 2012, Player and I managed to achieve a 2nd and 4th place in qualifying stakes. After two years off due to family issues, Player trained for just a few weeks then finished the Open at the Specialty in 2014 for another JAM.

Yes...he loves the water!
